There is a Christian organization for actors and other talent, it's called AMTC, I don't know if it's in the UK though.

What an inspiring post! As an actor starting out a little late in the game- 28 years old- I found myself asking many of the questions on your "question list" of insecurities. :) It was incredibly freeing to read your post. I had no idea I was giving in to so much fear and handing over my power. Now I have taken a deep breath and handed my plans back over to God. Just cuz I think I'm late in the game, does not mean I've missed my opportunity. God has plans for us far better than we can imagine.

Even though you wrote this post in 2008, it is so vital and important to me today. Please keep posting and sharing your insights with us.

Wow I'm also really pleased I found your site/blog. I'm considering enrolling for 3 yrs in drama school - I've always thought about it over the years. Today I actually had a tour through the school and got some copies of audition monologues which I have 6months to work on for when the auditions happen.

I'm trusting God for his divine plan - if he wants me there, I'll work hard & get through the auditions. For me I believe acting could be the catalyst that releases other gifts and talents in my life.

Life after acting could mean a more focused and confident approach to my other music gifts, increased evangelistic qualities or anything!!! You just don't know what God has planned ahy!!!

Thanks so much for this forum - please keep it up - I'll be watching/adding. Catherine, 33 from New Zealand.

thank you so much for your encouraging words. it is indeed tough to find good Christian acting situations without the Lord's help. It's nice to know that there are others out there with the same desires. God bless, and keep up the good work. Happy New Year. Blessings on the year to come & beyond.

Great post! I like the idea of leaning on your faith in God so your acting career would be in the right path.. The quote that I love the most is this: “When you’re ready, the teacher will appear.” ... Very Inspiring..
